Community Health Fair and Vaccine Clinic Saturday, April 13

Eddystone Borough presents a Community Health Fair and Vaccine Clinic on Saturday, April 13 from 9:00 AM to Noon at Joe Hughes Hall, 1112 E 7th Street, Eddystone PA 19022.

The event will feature:

  • Dr. Renzi of Save Your Soles Podiatry: offering help with foot care for diabetics and others.
  • Woodlyn Pharmacy: offering vaccines for Covid, Flu, Shingles, Pneumonia and RSV
    Must have identification, proof of insurance – Medicare (Red and Blue card)

The free health screening will include tests for blood pressure, cholesterol, glucose, body mass index and more. Don’t miss out on this opportunity to protect yourself and your family!

Delaware County Elections’ 2024 Primary Election Kickoff Guide

Delaware County Elections continues preparations for the April 23 Primary Election. Efforts include finalizing polling site assignments, testing equipment, preparing and printing ballots, issuing mail/absentee ballots, and conducting comprehensive training of poll workers leading up to Election Day.

This guide is designed to equip Delaware County residents with information necessary for voters to cast their ballot at the upcoming April 23 Primary, ensuring every eligible voter knows how to register, where and how to cast their vote, and the important deadlines to observe.

Register Today for Free Backyard Composting Workshop on March 23

Pennsylvania Resources Council will host a FREE Backyard Composting workshop on Saturday, March 23, in Upland Park in Delaware County.

The 90-minute workshop will take place on from 10 to 11:30 a.m. at the Redwoods Center in Upland Park, 280 6th St, Brookhaven, PA.

The first 30 individuals to register for the workshop will receive a FREE 82-gallon composting bin (one per household). This project is funded by Keep Pennsylvania Beautiful’s Healing the Planet Grant Program with support from The GIANT Company.

Participants will learn about the importance and benefits of composting, the process, setting up a compost pile, proper maintenance, and ways of using finished compost.  By composting, individuals can expand their recycling efforts to include food scraps and yard debris.Registration for the free workshop is required by visiting www.prc.org/workshops
