Delaware County to Begin Providing Enhanced Public Health Services for Eddystone Borough

Dear Eddystone Borough Residents and Business Owners,

We are happy to share that Delaware County Health Department (DCHD) will begin providing enhanced public health services in the Borough of Eddystone as of October 1, 2026. We are grateful to our partners at Eddystone Borough for allowing us to provide crucial public health services to the residents, business owners and visitors of Eddystone. We look forward to providing compassionate and skilled service to minimize your risk for disease and provide you with every opportunity to live a healthy and happy life.

Delaware County Health Department services may include:

  • Food Safety Inspections and Licensing (for both fixed facilities and temporary events)
  • Public Bathing Place Inspections and Permitting
  • Institution Safety Inspections and Certifications at Early Childhood Learning Centers, Schools, Long Term Care Centers and Hospitals
  • Private Septic and Well Permitting and Inspection
  • Mosquito Borne Disease Surveillance, Control and Education
  • Vaccine and Communicable Disease Testing
  • Community Health Planning, Education and Outreach
  • Public Health Emergency Planning
  • Maternal and Infant Program Initiatives
  • Mobile Health Unit Services

This number is answered by DCHD employees during regular business hours, and by an after-hours call service for public health emergencies. In addition, for DCHD Environmental Health specific services and inquiries, you may also email environmental@co.delaware.pa.us.
